CALG offers an extensive variety of Child Representation, Guardian ad Litem, Parenting Coordination and Mediation Services.
Want to know what you're getting into BEFORE diving in?
Come check out our Education Seminar & Parenting Plan workshop.
CALG provides local (Cook County) and remote (across the U.S.) Home Visits, Removal Assessments and Supplemental Interview services.
CALG shall work with parties to facilitate supervised parenting exchanges and/or parenting time as ordered by the Court.
Each matter will be assigned both a primary attorney AND a secondary attorney, as well as have access to the entire CALG “team”. This collaborative/team approach allows CALG to consider the various perspectives of each individual matter, as well as to manage the court logistics (court dates, filings, etc.) of the matter.
Our “in-house” attorney as well as our “of counsel” attorneys have years of experience representing litigants in these types of matters and have collectively handled hundreds of court matters throughout Cook County.
CALG is focused on representing the interests of the participants in the Court System that are least able to represent themselves. CALG is dedicated and committed to providing first-class, experienced, dedicated service at reasonable and thoughtful rates.
CALG provides all litigants with online file access, automated calendar and reminder features, and after hour & weekend accessibility & meeting availability as well as telephone, text & email communications with attorneys.
Notwithstanding the fact that each matter is assigned TWO attorneys plus have access to the “team” collaboration, you will only be billed for a single attorney! Also, our attorneys are focused on RESOLUTION…not litigation. Accordingly, they will be mindful of the expense associated with our representation and make a diligent and concerted effort to efficiently manage the case in order to minimize the expense & stress to the parties
The Domestic Relations court process can be daunting for ANYONE, much less litigants who are new and unfamiliar with the process. Experience shows that the lack of familiarity with the process & the law can delay and frustrate the legal process, but conversely, having knowledgeable litigants can enhance & accelerate the process.
This class is designed to educate litigants as to the Domestic Relations process in an honest, candid and in “layman's” terms manner. Additionally, from the registration fee discount when parties register together to the post-session APR Workshop where litigants will be able to work on their own parenting plan and ask questions, we educate the litigants about the process and encourage cooperation in coming to a mutually agreeable resolution. If/when that is unsuccessful, we intend to have provided the court with a more knowledgeable litigant who is aware of the proper notice, filing and other procedural requirements, as well having a more thorough expectation of the potential costs of litigation…so when a 215 Evaluator or GAL is appointed, the cost & expense is not a complete surprise and can make for more informed, knowledgeable and prepared litigants.
Need:
CALG can provide independent/"one-off" assessments and evaluations or complete them within a more formal appointment order and request by the court.
CALG is available for local assessments as well as those that require travel.
